I just need some advice about my crib mattress. Months ago my husband put together the whole nursery as a surprise for me. This included the crib and mattress. He placed the big puffy bumper around the edge of the crib. This was okay at the time because DS was going to be sleeping in the bassinet and it was mainly for show. Today, I took the puffy bumper off in order to place the breathable one on in preparation for our son's big move to the crib. To my shock I find that the mattress is not snug against the sides of the crib. There are huge gaps in the corners and I can get two fingers down the sides no problem. All this was covered by the other bumper before!
I'm freaking out! The mattress has been in the crib since February and I'm fairly certain it can not be returned. It's a Beautyrest Beginnings. Do I have any options? My bigger worry is that it is the crib and not the mattress. We have a Bonavita Peyton 3 in 1 crib.
Not to sound mean....but I should have ooked everything over when DH was done! Totally my fault!
Re: Crib Mattress Doesn't Fit!
I don't think you can return a mattress even right after you buy it. I believe it's against the law.
I would look up the make and model of your crib or call the company that made the crib and find out what size mattress you need for the crib. If a standard crib mattress didn't fit then you might have to special order the mattress that you need.
