It wasn't so bad...I mean, it was a little uncomfortable with all the positioning the tech had to do and there was one time where I was like 'OUCH!' but for the most part it was not bad at all.
So the technician said that it's not uncommon to have a call back because it's my first time and they have nothing to compare it too. So she said to not freak out if they do call, otherwise, I'll get a letter in mail saying everything is good.
I felt so bad for this one women because she was there the whole time and they kept calling her back and then bringing her back in the waiting area to wait some more. She did not look happy (not in a angry way in a sad way).
Re: Back from my mammogram
Oh, good, I'm glad it went well! Waiting for a call back can be nerve wracking, but it's not at all uncommon to have to go in again for another look. Much rather they be sure of what they see!
Yup, I was called back because they found a couple of extra cysts, and they didn't have any comparison shots to go on. I ended up needing to go back for a biopsy, which turned into three biopsies at once (figured they might as well check them all out), but everything turned out fine. Apparently I have crunchy boobs (or they're like bubble wrap... they are prone to making cysts and the doctors like to pop them).

congrats! i just had my first one too, last week. they didn't say anything about it being common to be called back, and thankfully i never heard anything until i got the letter saying everything was a-okay.
glad yours didn't hurt! i thought it was terrible! i had a pelvic ultrasound too that day so i was having to hold my pee which is excruciating to me but still thought the mammo was worse. i felt like my skin was tearing! my mom and MIL said it used to be worse which is hard to imagine...
