I haven't been on much but I had no idea you had your babies!!! CONGRATS :-) can't wait to see pics.. I read your birth story - what a journey! hope all is well
my little ones are just about out of preemie clothes but still swimming in newborn.. go figure! :-)
I am not having much luck nursing DS.. I met with a LC and she said to just try with DD right now.. we try for 20 mins before each feed.. its 20 mins of attempting to latch and then her getting a bottle.. hopefully she will get the hang of it soon!!!
Re: efhoping2010!!!
Thank you ) Your little ones are so precious and adorable!! Love the hair, too cute, love the photo! My DH will not let me post photos, names, etc. online boo.
I am in an exhausted haze. I think my little girl might have colic, she gets fussy every evening and night and will cry and cry, she just wants to nurse and be held all night. My little boy will nurse and go to bed, so I am fortunate it is only one that is mainly fussy, I am trying a few different things, like cutting cow's milk out of my diet, I read that can lead to fussiness in some breastfed babies. Yes newborn is still huge on my little boy and my little girl still is too tiny for newborn and swimming in even some preemie still.
I was fortunate in the special care nursery to have nurses who were also LC's. Preemies often have trouble latching and having a strong suck. At first I would put them to breast and they would just suck for a moment, or sometimes take a few drops from a syringe. They said it is just easier for preemies to take from a bottle, less effort, less calories burned. Any breastmilk is great even a few drops they told me. Do not feel bad. It sounds like you are doing everything right. The babies just need to learn. Great hearing from you!!
