Any else can't eat meat?

Im a normal meat eater, but havent been able to touch any meat in almost 2 weeks, everything I want is carbs. so weird.

Re: Any else can't eat meat?

  • I don't eat red meat, but I do normally eat chicken and I can't even think about it the past week or so. All I want is carbs too, specifically bagels and pasta....and weirdly enough, salad!

  • No steak, chicken, or turkey for me. Fish is the only thing I can stomach.

  • When I was pg the first time I had a huge meat aversion - the very thought of it made me want to vomit.  Nothing so far this time, but I feel your pain!
  • I couldn't think about any type of beef when I was PG with K. The aversion went away pretty quickly after I delivered her, thankfully.

  • Haha, bagels have been my best friend!!
  • I couldn't even touch meat while pregnant with Lex without gagging. This time around i'm not a fan of chicken but craver cheeseburgers everyday.
  • ditto!  All I want is carbs and fresh fruit.  Oh, and lemonade!  I've been able to eat some pasta/ravioli with meat inside but that's about it.

  • I am battling the same exact problem. The sight and smell of all meat makes me nauseous. I have been living on cereal, pasta, bread, rice and salad. All I want is carbs! Which im sure isn't going to help me in the weight gain department. Ugh...

  • I'm having a tough time with red meat and sometimes chicken. I don't eat fish. I've been able to get some bacon down. I can't do carbs right now either. I gagged on a hot pocket and can't even think about eating a bagel right now. I've been living on fruit and dairy.
  • I'm usually all about meat...I haven't had meat in 2 weeks except for tuna salad sandwiches.  That's the only thing I can deal with, meatwise.  Other than that, lots and lots of carbs.  Boo.  This aversion thing can pass any time.
  • I have been mostly meat-free, save for pizza toppings. Chicken especially digusts me.
  • It's really odd for me, because it's not the taste or smell of the meat- but the texture of it...I can get it chewed up, but can't make myself swallow it. If I try to force myself I end up getting sick. Does that even make sense to anyone? Cuz it really doesn't to me...

i've never been a big meat eater, but with dd i could barely tolerate chicken in the beginning.  i previously ate tons of chicken.

  • Same here, I usually love red meat, but latelly if i do et it, it's only a tiny bit.  I want carbs too!  Carbs and fruit and sweets!  I don't even want green veggies....

    Frustrating....

  • I'm the total opposite...I've been a vegetarian/pescatarian since I was in grade school and knew something was up with me when I started craving meat before I even knew I was pregnant.  I have never, ever liked meat except fish since I was a kid so it was more of a preference veg. thing than a principle vegetarianism.  Now, it's all I want to eat!

The one exception is fish..when I was 6 weeks pregnant and grocery shopping I walked down an aisle in the store and they happened to be doing a cooking demonstration of fish......I threw up in the little garbage can next to the demonstration.  Needless to say, I am not going back to that store for a good long while. =-)
