What does you LO wear around the house?

and what temp do you keep the thermostat on? I'm having a hard time getting the house at a temp that suits everyone and keeps PJ from either sweating or having his hands and feet ice cold. If I leave the air on (75) I usually dress him in a sleep and play or a gown(socks)...if I turn the air off and just use ceiling fans I put him on a onesie and socks...I generally don't swaddle him anymore...he seems to sleep just as well w/o it. I think the big issue is the fact that it still gets a bit cooler at night and if the air is still on it can become too cool...what are you doing?

We have 2 thermostats and both are kept at 72. Even though they are set the same it is much cooler upstairs where JH sleeps.  We usually wear shorts and t-shirts and keep throw blankets in the living room if we get cold.

He sleeps in cotton footed sleepers at night.  I've been putting him on rompers a lot lately for daytime.  When it was still cool out or on rainy days, I put him in a onesie and cotton pull-on pants.  He usually always has socks on, but today he is wearing baby flip flops.  It's his first day to ever wear shoes!

This sounds silly but if we see someone then I put her in nicer clothes. Otherwise it's just a onsie or snp. Our temp seems to be good in the house but Lydia has to have socks on or her feet will be cold. Her hands- well she likes to have access to them or by her face. So even though we swadddle (she likes it) her hands have to be out. I usually hold her hand to warm them.

  • We cut the vents off in Abby's room. That helps as far as keeping her from getting too cold during naps and at night.

Us too! Ain't no shame ;)

Plus, if he is going to daycare, it's Garanimals all the way!

He wears shorts/tshirt around the house, and warm pj's at night.  When he was PJ's size, it was either a onesie or sleep-n-play.

Rachel--great idea on turning the vent off!

Last summer when K was very little, I mostly kept her in snp's or onesies with cotton pants and socks while we were at home. I always kept socks on her feet to keep them warm.

We keep our house pretty cold, especially at night. I still put K in a long sleeve footie-pajama set with a fleece halo sleep sack at night.

  • These days Mitchell is in onesies and socks around the house.  Warmer days he goes without the socks, especially since I'm very watchful over the thermostat just for money saving purposes.  If it's cooler, I also put cotton pants on him.
