1st Trimester

Am I being paranoid?

I found out last Thursday that I was expecting.  I was also very nauseated all last week as well.  Today I woke up and I am not sick anymore, I kind of even feel like I am not pregnant anymore, but I hope it is all in my head.  I go the doctor of Friday for our first visit.  Is this normal feeling in your first few weeks?

  • Enjoy it. I give you 3 days before your head is back in the toilet.

  • It's okay that you don't feel sick today. When I got my BFP I was so suprised because I didn't "feel" pregnant at all. I didn't have symptoms at all at first beside sore breasts. Don't stress! Some symptoms come and go, or might not start right away.

    sooo normal..symptoms come and go.

  • Generally, morning sickness starts around 6 weeks and ends around the start of 2nd tri. Some people never feel ill. Some feel ill starting at 4 weeks. For some people it comes and goes sporadically. You can also get the stomach flu or food poisoning, both of which can be similar to morning sickness. (I have had both this pregnancy. What joy is mine.)

A friend of mine felt nausous for a total of 4 days, then didn't have any symptoms after that. (We all hate her. lol)

Symptoms tell you very little, other then how your body is reacting to changes. Lack of symptoms doesn't mean anything is wrong, and having all the symptoms doesn't mean everyting is ok.

Try not to worry and have a great appointment on Friday!

  • Don't worry until there's something to worry about.  This is not something to worry about.  I felt the same way as you - the second I got my BFP I started worrying about "what if...."  I was making myself crazy.  Don't do that!  Enjoy this time, enjoy your lack of symptoms.  Remember, worrying will only make it worse for the baby.  Happy thoughts, Lucy!  Have a good visit on Friday!

I know what you mean about feeling like you're "not pregnant anymore"...I got that a couple of times. Also, sometimes the first few weeks I knew I was pregnant, I would get the feeling and ask myself, 'Is this for real? Am I REALLY pregnant?'

Now that I'm constantly nauseous and sick regularly, it's a not so pleasant reminder that yes, I am indeed pregnant! But I urge you to try not to let that feeling bother you and ENJOY the lack of sickness while you can! :D Easier said than done, I know.

Well it was short lived. I have been sick all day and night.  I was up with cramps last night and then this morning I have been extremely sick to my stomach and very bloated.
