Got our seedlings for our 1st garden yesterday!

DH's dad has a greenhouse so we were able to go over there for some compost, flowers, and seedlings.  (I so wish we were closer with him and spent more time on his farm.  Eli just loves it.  We rode with him in his golf cart thingy and Eli thought it was great.  But alas, this is a WHOLE 'nother post!)

So we got lettuce, oregano, parsely, 3 different tomato plants to try, cantalope, watermelon, brocolli, cucumber, peppers- hot & sweet.  Then we got seeds for carrots, spinach, and peas.  Also for pumpkins to do later on.

We thought we would try a little bit of a lot of different things this year to see how they grow since this is our first year.

DH has the garden ready to go.  He mixed the compost in and now we just need to get some sort of fencing situation figured out.  Then we can get them in the ground.  It's still early around here so we should be good.  Eli and I can't wait!  Too bad DH gets stuck doing most of the manual labor ;-)
