Going to pee on my hand again.

Have my weekly OB appt. tomorrow and each visit requires leaving a urine sample. It's so ridiculous trying to pee in a cup with such a huge belly. I never fail to pee on my hand! So gross!

I'm so glad my MW stopped doing routine urine samples for this reason!  She now only does them if you have elevated BP or other symptoms!

lol, that sucks. 

 

I always have DS#1 with me and he always hands me the cup, lol.  It's like his little job or something.  At least it is the bathroom though, and they provide sanitary wipes to clean off the cup and then I just wash my hands.

this made me chuckle.... any bathroom activity requiring hands on....peeing in a cup....wiping my @$$.... has become such a challenge...glad I am not the only one!

Cant you just stick the cup flat against your who-ha? Thats what I do, just kind of suction it against it, LOL

The yuckier part is in my OB office we have to write our names on the cups ourselves, and I cant help but think of all the people who pee on their hands, then pick up the permanant marker to write. LOL

One of the nurses always asks if I'm "able to leave a sample" and I always laugh at her. I'm nine months pregnant lady. I always have to pee.

Ask for a pair of gloves.  When I see the med assistant, she knows to hand me a pair of gloves every time she sees me.  I HATE peeing on my hand.  I'm sure it isn't a big deal because I will be changing DS's diapers and handing his pee and poop all the time sans gloves. Gloves, at the OV (office visit) just make me feel a little more sterile.

So true!  I've peed on my hand every visit for a while now!  Gross, but like pp I use the sterile wipe and wash my hands thoroughly afterward (I also write my name on the cup prior to peeing!).

Its a measure of acrobatics for me at this point.....

 

But what confuses me is the gloves in the bathroom.  I get it, some people dont like tthe thoughts of getting pee on their hands, but its your pee.   Just wash good afterwards.  Maybe its the nurse in me.  

 

I too write my name first, and hope that everyone in there does this as well.  But most of the time, I handle to marker with a papertowel, lol
