not a great weekend

So Friday morning I woke myself up with this gross feeling.  I thought it was just reflux but finally around 4am I got up and gave in to the need to vomit (I hate throwing up!) and then went back to bed.  A few hours later I had diarrhea.  I was worried I was going to get too dehydrated so I drank a bunch of water and then threw that back up not long after.  So I gave in and called the dr who recommended I go to L&D

I got to the hospital and they monitored the baby and everything seemed fine.  I got 2 bags of IV fluids and zofran for the nausea.  A few hours later I got released and I got to my car (husband had to meet me as the hospital so we had 2 cars) and my knees felt tingly.  I looked in the mirror and my lips looked like I had botox injections and looked like a rash was forming on my face.  SO I called L&D back and they told me to go to the ER.  

When I got hooked up to heart monitors my heart rate was too high and wasn't coming down so they got concerned and I ended up getting admitted to the maternity floor.  Baby was fine the whole time thankfully but I still feel like death!

To top it all off I got discharged yesterday afternoon just in time for my "surprise" baby shower which of course my husband had to tell me about or else I never would have showed up for.  Kinda sucked I didn't really get to enjoy it b/c I really felt horrible.  

Not the greatest weekend!!!!

Ugh, so sorry about your weekend. Hope you get to feeling back to yourself soon.  Other than feeling like death, how was the shower?

The shower was good but I wasn't in the social mood and just wanted to be in my bed!  Plus I wasn't sure if I had a stomach virus or ate something bad and people just kept coming up and kissing me.  You know when you just don't feel good and you don't want people touching you anymore??  That's what I felt like.  I was grateful for the shower and all of the gifts but just wasn't in the mood to deal with everyone yesterday.  I would hope they all understood since I just got discharged from the hospital but I tried!
