I've posted something similar on 3-6mo, but curious what the MoMs on this board prefered...
Will be pumping as long as possible, then switching to formula (or whatever is needed... staying very open to whatever my girls need)
DH & I are having the hardest time choosing bottles. They all claim to do the same things (ie. reduce colic and gas), so not sure which ones might be the best option... and was curious which ones you had luck with or hated.
Thank you so much!
Re: What bottles did you try that you LOVE/HATE?
We've done the Vent Aires and Avents, liked them both, the Vent Aires just had the added extra parts to wash and x2 it wasn't worth it, thats the reason we didn't go with the Dr. Browns. Both of my kids had reflux and did just fine on Avents. We still use them, they will leak if they are overtighened and/or the nipples aren't lined up right, but for us, it isn't a big deal.
I would get several different brands to start off with and see which ones they take, look at buying the bigger sizes such as the 9oz bottles vs. the 4oz bottles. You will get much more use out of just buying the bigger bottles than buying the 4oz and needing to get bigger ones later on.
used Avent with DS1 b/c i had a ton of them from friends - HATED THEM. Leaked no matter what we did with them- drove us absolutly nuts.
We used the MAM bottles with the twins and LOVED them - no leaking, worked well to reduce gas/colic, etc.... and they are cute.
almost all bottles are BPA free these days- so that's good - before when i had DS1 nothing was known about that.

I only tried Dr Browns and love, loved them. There are lots of parts to clean but, just get a dishwasher basket or two and wash everything in there then, put on a drying rack to dry.
I'll be using Dr Browns again.
ditto
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
We bought the Avent, they leaked.
Went to Dr.Browns and loved them. They have screw on caps available for storage (would put milk in them in the fridge) and then you put all the parts in it when you are ready to feed the bottle.
I loved the dr browns and would suggest to have at least one days worth of bottles so that you only have to wash once a day.
We went back to the Avent when they were older and didn't have problems with the gas.
Don't worry about buying the 4oz bottles, you will eventually need the 8oz, so only buy the 8oz. You can easily put 4oz in an 8oz bottle.
