Even though he's not super verbal yet, now is a great time to start with choices.
Start with things that are just fun, like, do you want to have waffles or eggs for breakfast, and show him the containers to let him chose.
We did that with Marion, and now she'll open the refrigerator and pull out what she wants for breakfast. Makes it easy for me
That gets him comfortable with the idea of choices and makes it easier for him to start verbalizing his wants. Do it with clothes, books, toys, even wraps - LOL!
Re: ncbelle - toddler choices
I'm definitely going to start ;-) He has started pointing to snacks that he wants (gotta hide the cheddar bunnies!). Wrap choices...that's a good one...definitely will give it a go - lol ;-)
So glad there are folks "ahead" of me on this board to offer sage advice!
