3rd Trimester

when did you feel the worst in your pregnancy?

I don't want to jinx myself but at 38 weeks I don't feel nearly as bad as I thought I would at this point.  To be honest I think the MS in the first trimester was the worst.  At the end of the second trimester/beginning of the third I had more aches and pains than I do now.

I really thought the 3rd trimester was going to be terrible but other than the frequent bathroom breaks and some swelling- it's not nearly as bad as I feared.

What has been the most uncomfortable/difficult part of your pregnancy?

Re: when did you feel the worst in your pregnancy?

  • Today. The pain in my side is killing me.

  • Definitely the nausea in first tri.  I feel great now.  Getting out of the bed in the morning is uncomfortable but after that, I don't even feel pregnant anymore.

  • Weeks 6-12 were terrible for me- Constant nausea/exhaustion!

But weeks 35-36 were the worst for 3rd tri- pubic bone pain, acid refux/throwup burbs, and insomnia were big contenders. But 1st tri was still way worse!

  • Right now! I have never had much morning sickness/issues in either of my pregnancies in the first trimesters. I guess I got lucky there. I am miserable right now. I can't sleep - so I am always tired. My back and hips KILL me if I do anything... even walking up and down the stairs or doing the dishes... it's terrible! It makes it especially worse chasing after my almost 3 year old all day. By the end of the day I can barely move. The heartburn in terrible, I get it no matter what time I eat, how much I eat, or what I eat! LOL. I also have terrible toothaches. My mouth just throbs all day :( I sound like I am complaining a bit too much here. I am very blessed and thankful to pregnant though, I wouldn't trade it for anything...but I am ready to have this baby... I can't wait to meet her, and all this misery is worth it. Just about 4 weeks until my c/s and I can't wait! =)

  • I am still feeling good - have had a really great pregnancy thus far (knocking on wood as I type this!)
  • Definitely the 1st tri-26ish weeks. IV's, throwing up constantly, constipation, loosing weight, bedridden, spitting into a cup nonstop bc of excess saliva....yeah that sucked. 39 weeks is heaven in comparison :). Actually one if the first things I said after I had ds was "delivery was a piece of cake compared to the first trimester". Hopefully this time will be the same!

  • The first 22 weeks were the WORST..... constant nausea/vomiting... no thank you!

  • the first 16 weeks were hell....I am tired now, but Ill take this to that anyday. esp since this pregnancy my m/s lasted 5 wks longer and I needed meds--plus I had a toddler to keep up with.

  • From week 19 until now.  I've had horrible gastrointestinal problems.  I think there may be something else going on, though (gallbladder-?).  I have yet to put on any weight.  It's horrible.

  • I'm fairly uncomfortable right now, however, weeks 5-16 were MISERABLE!!! I had ms all that time and I really do not do well with nausea. Plus I stayed constipated...to the point that I was praying for my bowels to move.

After the ms stopped and the constipation got better, I loved being pregnant. Still do, really.

  • First 16 weeks of m/s, and UTI in beginning of 3rd tri was not fun but now is the worst of all. Im having these rashes that are soooo itchy it drives me nuts and I cant sleep cos of it. Making me pretty frustrated and tired. Am visiting the doctor today so hopefully she'll do somethin abt it. As of this point, Im finally getting tired of being pregnant.

  • The nausea and swamp mouth of first tri was the worst. Other than that, things have been great.
  • 1st tri. was the worst! Since then everything has been going pretty good :)

  • 1st tri....It's pretty much smooth sailing now except for some killer exhaustion some days.  Yesterday was horrible and today was great.
  • First 17 weeks then now.
  • Right now! I had horrible all day sickness but it is nothing compared to how I feel now. I am on medicine and bedrest for PTL so I am super shaky, heart racing, very flushed and hot, constant headache, and just overall weak. I am also still have aches and pains and cramps from minor contractions and Mathieu moving so much so I am pretty much miserable! But I want our LO to cook so it will be totally worth it!

  • My first trimester was the worst... horribly sick for weeks on end is not fun!
  • During my second trimester I got the worst effing cold EVER. My throat hurt so bad it would make me cry. I would wake up around 4 every morning and cough for an hour and a half. I'm not exaggerating. And I would cough until I would gag. It was horrible. I also managed to pull a muscle in my rib cage while I was coughing, so then it was agony to try to sleep. It was pure hell.

Nothing I've experienced in the rest of this pregnancy or during my pregnancy with DS1 even comes close to how bad that was.

  • Even though I am always uncomfortable and hurt all the time.  I'd have to say that the 24/7 morning sickness in 1st tri (and into 2nd tri) was the absolute worst.

  • Week 36 and 37. I had to go to L&D because I was having contractions and they stopped them. And then week 36 and 37 my hips started to widen and it was very painful.

    DD#1 is 3! And LO#2 is on his/her way! Due Feb 26th, 2014.

BFP#1: EDD 5/7/2010 born on 5/20/2010. A little girl named Emily.

    BFP#2: m/c 10/29/2012 EDD was 6/21/2012 Baby Hope was 6 weeks 3 days.

BFP#3: Twin B stopped growing at 8 weeks and 5 days. Found on 8/10/2014. EDD was 2/26/2014. Twin A is still doing great and due date is 2/26/14.

  • Although I have been pretty uncomfortable at certain times the past two weeks, first tri (about weeks 7-17) were definitely the worst.  Constant nausea, vomiting, not wanting to eat anything, exhaustion, constipation and moodiness.  I'm not sure any amount of discomfort from third tri complaints can compare.
  • Today, which is surprising as I felt great until the day of my induction five days overdue with my first pregnancy.  I'm done with the random contractions and being exhausted after doing small chores.
  • The last two weeks I have been miserable...and it just keeps getting worse!  I had it very easy up to this point...no sickness, no pain...UGH>

  • Now. But I am 11 days overdue. Everything I have to do feels like a huge chore and my whole body aches so bad I feel like I am 100 years old. Add to the fact that when the baby moves, it hurts because she is so big and I have been getting a lot of BH that are really uncomfortable and make me feel like I have to pee the instant I have one. Thank God this baby is coming out tomorrow morning!

  • without a doubt first tri. weeks 5-14 were torture. 24/7 nausea and fatigue, heartburn, food aversions...godawful. i've loved every minute of pregancy since then, though!
  • Today.

Everyday is the new worst day.

  • Definitely the last two weeks!  Pubic bone pain, acid refux/throwup burbs, and insomnia.  And constant BH and false labour that doesn't progress.  I'm starting to get majorly moody these days!!

Today.  I am beyond swollen in my feet, legs & face & I have the beginnings of a head cold & can't breathe.  Every joint in my body aches, too.

Oh, & SO is going out of town for the weekend (fishing opener).  Hopefully I won't be put on bed rest for pre-e at my appt today.
