My "baby" is 22 months old and I am still getting asked

if I am pregnant!!

So frustrating. I run often, in fact just completed a 10 mile race.

I am trying to eat healthy but this mom belly is just hanging around. I get asked at least once a week. Today my client (I'm a therapist)'s mother said "I see a little tummy...."

Grrrr. My kids were 18 months apart and my second son was nearly 10 pounds so I know my body isn't perfect.

But this is annoying. Does this happen to anyone else??!

  • Well, in my mind at least it happens!  Tee!  My kids are two and four, but I have a small frame and had two c-sections.  I run every day and I do ab workouts almost daily and I STILL have a pouch!  I am actually a tad underweight for my height, but it doesn't matter...I think I will always look four months pregnant.  No one says anything, but I always feel like they are looking right at my stomach and wanting to ask if I'm pregnant.

  • do people ask me if i'm pg after i've run a 10 mile race? i'd have to say no.  i think they just think i'm overweight.

honestly you sound like you are in great shape!  give yourself some time. people may just still see you in baby maker mode and interpret a little bloat to you  being pg.  kind of rude of them, though.  ha invite them on your race if they already don't run with you!

  • Doing planks and related plank exercises was the only thing that got rid of my mom pooch.
  • I feel that way too. I work out 5-6 days a week and once was a pretty competitive triathlete. Honestly, I think it effing sucks. I love my kids so much but I do not love what pregnancy has done to my body.

  • Nope.  Someone might need a tummy tuck!
