Two things (DD version)

1) First thing this morning, I was playing with both kids on my bed.  DD (4 yo) asks her 1 yo brother, "Do you know how much I love you?  All the way to heaven and back!"  (We are a church going family, so loving her brother to heaven and back is the most love she could ever decribe--I understand this could also be taken in a creepy way, but that's not the case here.)

2)  DD has had a caterpillar in her bug box for two days.  She put a bunch of hosta leaves in the box but the caterpillar isn't eating them and is becoming lethargic.  This morning, I convinced DD that we need to let the caterpillar go so it can find food that it likes.  DD was sobbing because the caterpillar has become her pet.  She was heaving and sobbing over how she would never be able to see the caterpillar become a raccoon.  DD thinks caterpillars become raccoons and when they are done being raccoons, they emerge as butterflies.  It was SO HARD not to laugh while I was trying to comfort her.
