1st Trimester

2nd time around...

is absolutely dragging. I'm 11 weeks and I feel like I have been pregnant for 6 months! I am living in slow motion. I think I am going to forget what Sushi tastes like! The first time around being pregnant was fun because it was a new experience but now that I know what to expect it's tougher. Anyone having/had the same issue and how did you deal? I'm just so inpatient!

Re: 2nd time around...

  • I have the opposite problem. It feels like I got my BFP last week. This PG is flying by. I almost fell over this morning when they booked my big US for 7 weeks from today!

  • SAME HERE. I feel like this kid should be here already. Imagine my disappointment when they determined via u/s I was two weeks behind where they initially thought by my LMP. I want this baby but seriously I hate being pg.

I wanted to have three of four kids but this pregnancy is making me think two is enough.

They pushed my due date behind as well! I thought I was 7 weeks pregnant when I found out but turns out I was 5! UGH!! I know a lot of women love being pregnant and there are of course some really great moments but for me it's such a LONG process. I just want my reward! Ha!!

  • For now I am glad it is a long process...needing some time to get used to the idea! And mine will be 15 months apart so I know I will be exhausted.

  • For me the 1st tri went by fast but now I feel it is slowing down.. 6 months to go! Knowing what to expect makes it go slower I feel.. everything is not new and exciting.. I am just thankful that I am pregnant cause it did not happen asap.

I feel that this pregnancy is harder though for me.. because of having to take care of ds.. last time I could sleep and relax when I was not working... luckly I am a sahm so I can nap when he naps.. dh is gone 5:30 am to 6pm 5 days a week too.. luckly he helps out when he can... we have no family help what so ever with the exception of one of dh aunts that comes once a month... she is an angel I dont know what I would do without her.

  • I agree!  I am only six weeks and feel like it has been three months.  Argh... this is going to be long.  I loved being pregnant the first time and hope I feel the same way this time around.  Of course, I don't want to wish it away, though!
  • Glad I am not alone. I am excited of course. I've always planned to have 2 kids but it's harder this time around. I am also worried that I am not going to be able to play with my LO like I do now after a few months because I'll be so uncomfortable! Pulling out my old maternity clothes was a weird experience! Ha!
  • I can relate as well, although at 9 wks time is going fast, the thought of being pregnant until december seems like FOREVER. I know its not, but this is my 3rd, and with my other 2 pregnancies I was soooo sick the whole time.I'm praying It is not so with this one. And my younger DS is 19 mths, so I worry about how I'm going to do certain thigs with him in the later months.Luckily I too am a SAHM, but I feel like I have a never ending to do list, and all I want "to do" is sleep lol!!

I couldn't resist, I had shrimp tempura sushi this past Sunday.  It was mother's day, it was cooked and I was like what the hell!!  hehe

Same here! We're looking at a 13 month age gap here. I don't mind if this pregnancy drags at all. I felt like I was more anxious the first time since I could not wait to be a mom. Now that I am a mom, I don't mind waiting for #2. Then again, I only found out recently I was pregnant-perhaps I should answer this in another few months. lol

  • Time drags when I'm just sitting around.  Last week I was visiting family so it went by so fast.  This week is dragging!  Hopefully summer will make it go by a little quicker.  (I found out a week and a half ago...and it's ALREADY dragging.)

  • I am opposite this time around. The first time it seemed to go by so slow. Now I am so busy with DS that the time is just flying by. I do not have the time like I did while pregnant with DS to sit around and think about all that is going to be or to read all the books.

  • I feel the same way and I am 9 weeks today. With the first I found out at 12DPO, this time I was about a week late with AF so you would think it would feel like it's going faster. I think part of it is that I feel gross this time around and I am exhausted and chasing after a 17 month old. Not that I wold have it any different. :)
  • I feel like this pregnancy is flying by. But S is really busy, so i am always chasing after her and half the time I forget that I am even pregnant.
