If you got a massage less than a month ago, but...

your shoulders and low back are tied up in knots again (family visit stress, etc), would you get another massage or would you decide it's time to see a chiropractor or something else?

I am not the type of person who gets massages (or anything really luxurious) often--the massage in Maui was the first one I've had in over a year.  But I got one then b/c my back and shoulders were really hurting me, and I'm finding that the pain is back again, a lot sooner than I'd expected it.

should I try another massage and see if that does the trick or should I go right to a chiropractor (they scare the crap out of me with the cracking and the adjusting--just the word "chiropractor" sounds painful to me--so I clearly just want to get another massage.  LOL)

  • my Husband swears by the chiropractor.  He gets a massage there too and it's covered by his insurance.

I swear by my chiro and my DH has recently started going and wishes he had listened to me years ago when I suggested he go.  They really do work wonders.  My chrio actually has a massage therapist on staff and I ahve gone to her many times after the 2 car accidents I was in and the 2 together are like a little piece of heaven.  I try and get a preofessional massage at least twive a year (if not more) and my DH and I try to work on each others backs/necks often.  It really helps, even a short massage.
