Thank you ladies for all of your prayers & kind words the other day. My dachshund is doing better, but I need to make her a follow-up appointment. She has been sleeping with us since Sunday because she gets pills every 8-hrs, which means one in the middle of the night & because it's been rather chilly here lately (normally they are crated at night), so I'm up every 1-2hrs when she gets up because she's not supposed to be using stairs or jumping on furniture. Ofcourse DH says she's my "practice baby" because I'm up with her all night & have to carry her everywhere.
Anyhow, the pain meds, steroid & muscle relaxer seem to be doing their job so far. She only screamed once yesterday when she heard a noise & turned her head too far really fast. She spends most of her time sleeping on my lap & has been confined to her crate while we are at work. Sometimes I wish they could talk so I could see how she really feels, but the screaming is minimized & the grunting/whining is less too, so I feel like she's doing better.
