DD can sit up pretty well, but she still gets a little wobbly after awhile.  When did you start putting LO in the shopping cart? I really want to try it, I just don't want her to fall over.

I think DD was around 8 or 9 months.  I would be a little scared to put her in until she could pretty well sit on her own.

I started at 6 months when he went in his new covertible carseat.

What drives me nuts about the carts is that the back is slightly reclined, so my DS thinks it is fun to throw his head back and look at the ceiling, but it makes the blood rush to his head.  So I am constantly pulling him forward.  

I also put my purse next to him so that it helps him not fall over to the side since the shopping cart seat belts are useless because they fit high up under the armpits.

ETA: yes I use the shopping cart seatbelt and a shopping cart cover... I just think they are poorly placed.

Around the same time as you.  I use a cart cover that comes with a buckle so that keeps her in place.

I strap my DD in but she has been able to sit unsupported for awhile now.
