melmax: I got your back

I got your back girl.  Wearing shoes in the house is funky cold medina.  That's all there is to it.  It's not rocket science.

My inlaws drive me to drink because they know we don't wear shoes in the house, yet they NEVER take their shoes off when they come over.  I don't give two shits if I offend them when I tell them to take their shoes off.  =)

Re: melmax: I got your back

  • I missed the 1st post, but I have to laugh at this.  Very few people in the south remove there shoes, but I have a Canadian neighbor who always does this, I though it was so odd when I first met her.  It must be a snow and ice thing because I have yet to see it anywhere else.
  • Thanks girl!  I was gone all day, so I'm not sure if there is more down below after I logged off at noon- but as PMQ so eloquently put it- why is it so rude to ask people to remove their shoes when I have a baby crawling around on my floors?? I have 2 dogs and I know how easy it is to step in dog crap, etc...and I'm sorry, I just don't want that type of residue hanging around my home.  :)

And i wanted to comment abiut your in-laws- that would make me so mad.  Despite what others are saying, I think its more rude when people disregard the rules of the homeowners.  I'm having a glass of wine right now, wanna drink with me? Wink
