1st Trimester

Here's a weird question

I have always wondered this.  When you see photographs of fetuses in the womb or video of sperm swimming to an egg, how do they take pictures of that without hurting the baby?  Anyone know how that works?

Granted I have no idea and haven't researched it but I assume they use those little telescopic cameras they use during laproscopies and either go in through tiny incisions or through the cervix. Both sound extremely risky to me.

  • My guess, it was researched many years ago and people now use the computer to simulate what was found originally.

  • IDK but everytime I watch it penetrate the egg it gives me the chills.  Ala: Aliens....reminds me of when they pertrude through chest wall...yuck
  • I was wondering this exact same thing the other day.  I would love to know if anyone ever finds out.

  • We watched "the film" in high school (ha! high school! sooo long ago!) and the teacher told us it was filmed with a tiny camera the couple agreed to leave in there!  I think it's weird, but I remember being amazed that was possible.
