Got bad news :(

I don't post very often, but I just got my results from my third beta and it only went up 15% from last week.  Looks like we will be trying again in a few months.  I'm heartbroken...but I do have a question.  My doctor set up an u/s for friday...the nurse told me to still go to the u/s.  Do any of you know why they would still want me to go?  She said something about making sure my uterus is looking ok...does this sound right?  Thanks for your help, I really hope to be joining this board again soon...

I'm so sorry.  They probably want to make sure it's not an ectopic.  That would just be my guess though.

Well, if you havent been bleeding or passed anything, I think they will check your ute and see whats going on. Otherwise, they will probably be checking to make sure its not an ectopic. I am so sorry you are going through this. I would go to the u/s for closure and answers. GL & ((hugs))

The pp is probably right. I'm not sure but they are probaby checking to see if it's an ectopic or to check for other issues with your uterus/lining.

I am soo very sorry. During my loss we had 2 ultrasounds to confirm the baby had passed, although I was further along. She also checked my ovaries and ute to make sure all was ok with that. Again I am soo sorry, the loss board on here was extremely helpful for me, the women over there are wonderful. T&Ps.

I am so sorry. With my loss back in January they new it was a m/c due to my betas but they wanted to still make sure there was no "fetal pole" via u/s. My nurse said crazier things have happened, meaning you could have non doubling betas and a baby inside. Unfortunately for me that wasn't the case. Sending thoughts and prayers your way.

Thanks everyone!  I just went to the bathroom and I am now bleeding.  I'm actually glad I got the news on my betas before I started to bleed, at least I knew it was coming.  H&H 9 months to you all!
