no 9 month appointment?

We had our 6 month check-up yesterday.  The nurse scheduled me for our next appointment at 1 year.  She said there wouldn't be one at 9 months.  How common is it to not have an appointment between 6 months and 1 year?  I thought that was kind of weird...

We just had DD's 9 month appt. They didn't do any shots, they just took blood. Maybe they will do that at the 1yr appt.

most places do the big bloodwork at 1 year and they usually don't get any shots at 9 months.  I find it odd that they won't be checking growth and milestones at 9 months though.  A lot happens at that age.

Very strange... At my doc they have 9mo, 1yr, 15 mo, 18 mo then 2 years (so thats the first 6 month stretch)....

Both of mine have/had 9 month appointments.  A regular check-up but with no shots.  They do draw blood to check iron levels.

I thought something was screwy...  I'll probably make an appointment at 9 months then.  I'm not sure how comfortable I feel going that long without taking him to the doctor!
