1st ultrasound question

in 1st Trimester

For those of you that have had early ultrasounds did u have to have a full bladder? This is my second pregnancy and i cant remember. Did u have the vaginal one or regular?

    I did.  They needed it full for the regular one, they asked me to go pee then did the vaginal one.

    I am getting my 1st US today at 6W so it will be vaginal. They told me I didnt need any prep

    I just got my fist u/s about an hour ago and i did not need a full bladder.

    all of my early u/s were vaginal and I was asked to pee before.

    6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM 7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle! 9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.     No not with a transvaginal u/s.

    With my first, I only needed a full bladder at 20 weeks. With this one they made me empty my bladder for an internal u/s at 7.5 weeks and they didn't specify for my external yesterday.

    My first ultra-sound was vaginal, and you could see a little jelly bean figure with a flickering heart. And yes, my bladder was full but it didn't seem to interfere!

    All four of my ultrasounds have been transvaginal, so you are asked to empty your bladder before the procedure.
