sciatic nerve pain

Is anyone having this already? I had it every once in a while before I got pregnant because I have a few bulging discs but the past week It has been hurting alot more. I know you can get this in pregnancy but I didn't know if it was too early to be the cause.

I think I've had it a few times, but I'm not sure what it feels like. Sometimes, when I get up from sitting for a long while, I get a pain down my butt/thigh on the right side. So... who knows?? : )

I had it bad when I got further along with DD and then it actually came back after I had DD (so I wasn't even pg). I went to the chiro several times and it didn't really do anything. It ended up going away but it's starting again already. My pregnancies are always very easy except for the sciatica. Oy.

I am a physical therapist. Sciatic pain is pretty normal in general but with pregnancy (in the beginning) its probably from your hormones making your ligaments loose and throwing your sacroiliac joint (pelvis) off. PT can definately help with his and also there are chiropractors that specialize in the Webster technique which is good for pregnancy

Yes, I have been having some discomfort in my left butt cheek.  I've  had sciatic nerve pain before so I plan on having some massages if they get worse.  Hope you fell better.

Yup, I've had it for about a week now, but it's on and off.  I asked the Dr. about it and she said it's common in early pregnancy, but it will come and go.
