But if you have to pick just one, I would say #1 is more casual IMO and I know my little guy would get more use out of those.

#1 - they make me wish for a little boy to dress again, because my guess is they are the baby sizes.

I went with #1!  Thanks, girls.  I decided to go that way because of the pockets on #2.  You just never know how those buggers are going to wash, and I do not have time for ironing a little boy's cargo pants.
