Ben has gotten up a few times in the past week or so screaming. Not his usual fussing because he wants out of the crib. More like a scared/painful cry. I was thinking gas, but could it be nightmares? When he does it, he'll be screaming, but be wide awake. He's just inconsolable at those times. When he finally does doze off, as soon as he seems good and asleep, he kicks his legs out and starts all over again. I've tried every sleeping position I could think of to take pressure off of his belly if it is gas, but it doesn't seem to help.
Do you think he might be having bad dreams? What would be a "nightmare" to a baby? No more vanilla wafers? I just don't know what would scare him in his sleep like that.
Re: Baby nightmares
I've wondered the same thing .....
DD has been doing the same thing for weeks
I think F has had them. When he was 4 months old MIL fell while holding him and we ended up in the ER. For the next few nights he would start screaming, a different kind of cry, a couple times a night but when I would go in he would be asleep. I would pick him up and rock him but he was out as soon as I touched him. He stopped after about a week. When we asked his pedi she believed they were nightmares.
Belle, I would worry more about something dusturbing him, either gas or allergies if he is wide awake or just startling himself awake. F did that until we put him on his tummy.
Good luck I know how hard that can be.
Could be gas, teething or nightmares.
But OMG @ "no more vanilla wafers"
:::dies:::
They have literally climbed over and crawled under our dog for vanilla wafers!
