low progesterone?

Hi ladies!!! Has anyone experienced low progesterone levels? I am pretty early on, only 2w4d, and my progesterone level on Sat. (16dpo) was 5.1 . I have been taking Prometrium supp. at night, and doctor called to tell me to increase to 2 at night. 

Has anyone had this problem with a positive outcome? Dr. said it's not looking good. I have tried researching it, but no luck.  TIA!!

I have found that low progesterone is not a main reason for M/C. Beta levels were more the reason for M/C. I'm not to sure this is all I found.

I am on a oral prometrium pill, not an insert.

Do you know what your Beta levels were?

First, by the way most people & doctors count pregnancy, you are further along than 2w4d!  Assuming you ovulated on day 14 of your cycle, at 16 dpo, you are 4w2d.

Anyway, with my first my progesterone levels were only 6.0 and I got on the progesterone suppositories twice a day.  Ended in a healthy baby!  Now with my second, my levels were 10.5 - not too bad but the doctor put me on the suppositories again.

So yes you can have a perfectly normal pregnancy even with super low progesterone levels!
