TMI? Need some answers...

I thought I'd start here before calling the OB on Monday. You guys have been so helpful in reply to my posts as well as the posts I've seen by other posters, I hope it's not TMI but this is all new to me.

First...yesterday my boobs were REALLY sore. Even the simple brush of my shirt caused me the shivers. Well I took a look and noticed both nipples had blood under the surface, almost like hickeys. I wiped them and there was no blood on the tissue but today the blood is still there under the skin. Any ideas? Advice on how to soothe the pain?

Second...as I posted earlier I have/had a subchorionic hemorrhage so I'm not sure this is related but I've had yellow discharge with brown tinge to it. Sometimes there is a tiny streak of bright red blood, I'm almost wondering if it's just the skin breaking when I wipe but I'm concerned. At my last appointment I was told I didn't need to call unless it was heavy but I'm worried mostly about the fact that it's yellow and brown tinged.

Not sure about the blood under your nipples or what you really mean by that...probably something really hard to describe.

As for the discharge...does it have an odor? Sounds like it could be BV, that's what mine looked like when I had it.

It's actually on my nipple, almost looks like a hickey (you know back in school the kind you'd get on your neck when the bf sucked too hard...lol).

No odor for the discharge, excuse my blondness but what is BV?

I have a subchorionic hematoma and I have bled a LOT from it. On Wednesday I was cramping and bleeding all day long...passing golf ball sized clots. It was awful! I went in for an ultrasound the next day and the amniotic sac and yolk sac are still in my uterus. Ever since then I've been spotting brown, too. I just assumed it was old blood. I don't have any of the yellow discharge, though. Maybe you can call your doc on Monday just to have them check it out. GL!

BV is bacterial vaginosis, pretty much a bacterial infection instead of a yeast infection. My first sign of it was yellow discharge. If you call your doc on monday they'll probably have you come in adn get swabbed.

The colored discharge could also be a result of your PNV.

In my quick read of some medical references, it sounds like the rapid changes in breast tissue that pregnancy causes can create blood blisters around the areola. However, everything I read cautions you to have this evaluated by a physician as soon as possible to rule out any more serious causes.

I don't know if I was relieved or more nervous when I got the DX of the hematoma. Earlier in the week we spent an overnight in the ER when I too had HEAVY dark bleeding and large clots but we saw the heart that night and then again this week. Of course I'm a nervous wreck until our next u/s on 5/24 to check on our progress.

I know exactly what you mean! I was amazed at the amount of blood and the size of the clots...I was glad I hadn't miscarried but it's still a scary diagnosis (Dr Google has NOT helped ease my fears!). I still haven't seen the heartbeat...too early. Hoping that it will be there when I go in for another ultrasound in a week and a half. And I hope both of our SCH go away ASAP!
