I swore up and down that I would be one of those women that would eat healthy and keep my weight down. I am hungry CONSTANTLY! I crave something different every hour-Hibachi, Italian, Mexican...it's I-N-S-A-N-E! To make matters worse, I don't have any sickness so it's going straight to the tummy! Any word of advice?
Re: nonstop hunger!! HELP!
Lots of water and try to stay out of the cupboards
I gained 60+ with DS - oy!! Lost all but 20, gained 20+ with DD and lost it all and went back to pre-pg weight so this time I'm hoping to only what I did with DD. It was hard, but I drank a ton of water and calorie/caffiene-free beverages while pg with DD. It is do-able!
GL!!
P.S. Losing the extra pounds wasn't easy for me (something to keep in mind). It might be for others but I'm not a drop the weight asap kinda girl
Hi! So not that I follow my own advice...b/c I too am hungry ALL the time...but before I got pg, I was doing Weight Watchers and they have lots of good ideas on "Filling Foods." Apples, carrots, beans, broccoli, oatmeal, oranges - these are some examples. Low "points" but good fillers. So even if you're not doing WW, you could try to maybe look at a list of those fillers and try to snack on those. Low calories, low fat, high fiber. That's the secret to WW. So again, I'm not saying you should fully follow WW while you're pg - but maybe taking a tip on snacking from them would help. I'm trying - but it's hard. I'm hungry all the time too, but hungry for cookies, ice cream, Asian and Mexican food, and other crap like that! Lol. So I feel your pain!!! And my pg with DD was not like this at all; wasn't hungry all the time, craved healthy foods, etc. Boo!
HTH and GL!!!
I don't know if this helps, but with DS I wasn't that hungry and ate big meals (a lot of junk - because I "craved" it) and gained 53 pounds.
This time I am pregnant with twins and I am always hungry (now that I am in the 2nd trimester). I have to eat every 1-3 hours. I am eating mostly good stuff and a little junk, but I have only gained a pound or two. I think it's better to eat more often as you tend to not eat big amounts of food at once.
Me too. I say eat while you can. Try to make healthy choices but as long as you're hungry, keep eating.
