I gained most of my weight with DD early on in her pregnancy, for a total of 41 pounds. I was advised to gain 40 due to my age and pre-pregnancy weight with her.
Starting this pregnancy I was about 8 pounds lighter than I was when I became pregnant the first time.
I'm still nursing DD, and have yet to gain any weight. Just curious if there are any other nursing mom's who have yet to gain anything.
My ticker is just an estimate btw. We are confirming gestational age next Thursday, but are fairly sure I'm between 8 and 10 weeks along.
Re: Anyone still nursing? A weight gain question.
Our LOs are very similar in age! I am still nursing DD and as of today I am down 5lbs so far this pregnancy, even though honestly, I haven't been very "good". I've been nauseous and just eating what sounds good. I do think it has something to do with still nursing, we're burning more calories growing one and feeding the other.
I still have about 15lbs on me from DD so I hope to not gain as much this time around. We'll see!
I'm still nursing and as of this morning I haven't gained anything. I'm pretty sure that between my regular workouts and the calories I burn breastfeeding I'm going to gain a lot less weight this pregnancy than last time - even though I'm still 5 lbs up from my original pre-pregnancy weight.
I also don't know quite how far I am either, I get my dating ultrasound on Thursday.
Yes, this is me exactly.
I was 143 when I got pregnant with M... but BFing did WONDERS for me, and when I went in for my 1st apt, I was weighing 127. I went back last week bc of some bleeding, and I was at 125. I'm still nursing and ms has been at a minimal, so idk when I'm gonna pick up some pounds, but I'm in no rush.
