I really like my OBGYN and was not sure that I wanted to switch to an RE yet. DH and I are comfortable with my doc and wondered if it was really necessary. I posted on here a while back and you guys really encouraged us to see an RE. So, we met with 2 yesterday.
I could not have been happier with our meetings yesterday. DH and I are really excited about moving forward with IUIs and best of all, they gave us real hope. All and all the meetings were really productive. I really felt like I was going to get the best care with an RE. There are so many more steps that they are going to take. For example, he will do bw and ultrasounds for monitoring with clomid. He will start me on progesterone suppositories (yuck) right away.
The doctors helped me understand our problems and answered all of our questions. We also have decided to focus on getting pregnant first and then do the varicocele surgery later.
Anyway, if you read this far...thanks! I am so glad we have switched to an RE. Thanks for the encouragement to do so. I would have stayed with an OBGYN forever because I was afraid to change.
Re: Thanks...again
The ladies here are awesome!
I'm so glad that you have been able to find a doctor with whom you are comfortable. That really makes a huge difference in my life.
Hope you get your BFP as soon as possible!
