What did (will) you get your Mom or MIL for mothers day?  I'm at a loss, and my moms birthday is the day after.  And when I asked she said 'starbucks'.

Well, this is kind of specific to my area, but there's a great local candy maker here that is known for their caramels that come in tons of flavors - vanilla latte, butterscotch, chocolate, dark chocolate almond, etc. I got my mom and MIL each a pound of assorted specialty caramels.

My mom is graduating with her master's on Tuesday so I bought her a combo gift- Broadway tickets to see Mary Poppins! Mother in law, we got a plant (she LOVES plants) and are giving her cash- it's what she needs.

I got a yummy Edible Arrangement for my birthday a couple weeks ago and I went totally bonkers excited over it so I decided to get one for my mom.  I hope she likes it!  Just to ensure extra happiness, I told them to dip ALL of the strawberries in chocolate.  Hello!

I usually make a nice brunch or dinner for DH's mom.  She prefers to see us then a gift.  Same with my mom, but she lives further away.  I sent her a card and we will have a nice chat on Sunday.

I got her a gift tower from Harry & David.  She loves the pears and we enjoyed some together last Mother's Day.

This might be outside the budget, Emma, but what about one of the easier home cappucino makers?  We got my MIL a Nescafe Dulce Gusto for Christmas and she loves the thing.

This year we are getting my mom a gift certificate to get her piano tuned.  It sooooo needs it.  It's so out of tune that Taylor Swift would sound in tune.

I got my mom a windchime and my MIL a really pretty bell to mount on a post outside.  My mom, aunt, and grandmother are also getting a framed picture of me, my sister, my DH, and BIL, just because they don't have any pictures of the four of us together and I printed some from Easter recently.

I found a cute gift for my MIL... It is a hand painted martini glass from Charming Charlies.
