TTC After a Loss

Trying to conceive after D&C

I am new to this and am looking for some insight.  We miscarried in Jan at 11 weeks and had to have a D&C done Jan 22nd.  My first AF came on Feb 28th.  I tested for ovulation that month and it came positive March 13.  We BD'd that month and nothing.  Got my next AF on April 6th-tested positive ovulation on April 21st, again tried and so far nothing.  Prior to being pregnant and the D&C my cycle was always 30 days.  Now it seems like I am 37 days.  Will this stay this way or will I go back to 30 days?  Why am I getting positive ovulations that would match a 30 day cycle not a 37 day cycle.  I am 33 but my husband is 47 so I want to get the ball going sooner then later.  Thanks for the help in advance.

  • I'm sorry for your loss.  Your cycles really just change a lot after a loss.  I wouldn't worry too much about the longer cycles just yet, you are still ovulating so that's a good thing.  Have you tested this cycle, it's about the time for that.

Thanks.  Does anyone know how long I can expect the cycles to be off for?  If I stayed on a 30 day cycle I was suppose  to get AF yesterday but since things are all messed up it hasn't come yet and I have tested twice with BFN.  Thanks again Smile
