I am not pregnant yet. Long story short- I very recently lost my twins due to incompetent cervix. I was set to deliver at another hospital in the area and was unhappy with the MFM department at that hospital once my pregnancy got complicated. I felt that they were too laissez-faire about the problems I was having and were reluctant to do anything when I was having problems. They just seemed to take a wait and see approach which I was not happy with.
While I wont be TTC for a while, I want to start looking into other hospitals in the area with better high-risk doctors. With my health insurance it would be best for me to deliver in any of the main-line health hospitals or Jefferson. Anyone have any experience with delivering at Jefferson? Did you see any of the high risk doctors, and what was your experience. Thanks!
Re: Anyone deliver at Jefferson?
I delivered both my kids at Jefferson. I wasn't considered high risk, but I am AMA.
I could not have been happier with the care I received through both pregnancies and deliveries. The residents are annoying but that is par for the course at any teaching hospital.
The OB/GYN practice I use is Women's Medical Specialties at 9th & Chestnut. I like them so much I am contemplating staying with them (and Jeff) when we move out of the city - which is in the next couple months.
GL to you!
