Cow's Milk Protein Allergy---Tests?

If your LO has been diagnosed with this, just wondering which tests your pedi did to determine that this was what was going on.

    I EBF and just cut out all dairy from my diet. I will reintroduce one at a time (whey, casein, milk) after 3 weeks of cutting out ALL dairy. G/L!

    My pedi checked my LO's dirty diaper while we were in for an appt. Her symptom was that she would SCREAM every time she pooped. She had the nurse do some lab test in the office to see if it showed blood in the stool. You couldn't see it with the naked eye but it showed blood. We are now on Alimentum formula and definitely improving. 

    We got lucky that DD pooped while the doc was checking her so I don't know if they could check a dirty diaper that happened at home and you could take it in. Not sure how that works but I would ask. Good Luck!
