I just rinse it out ASAP and then use Dreft spray on it, before putting it in the wash. Any little leaks and a couple of big spots have all come out of LO clothes so far. Plus we use the Dreft spray if LO spits up on our clothes to take away the smell until we are able to change.
BM poop should come right out without staining. If you cloth diaper you don't have to rinse BM poops. They come right off and don't stain in the wash.
My EBF baby's poop definitely stains! I don't worry about it on her diapers but the clothes sometimes I need to wash twice. I've rarely ever gotten any poop on clothes because I CD and don't have blowouts but every great once in awhile there'll be some on the edge of the leg that gets onto a onesie.
