Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

F'ing Betas!!

SEVEN!  Yeah. . .SEVEN!!  I thought being so close, yet so far with an 18 early last week sucked. That doesn't suck nearly as bad as a fricking SEVEN!

Do you know what a SEVEN gets me?  A SEVEN gets me another f'ing blood draw this week - AWESOME!

As if the never ending bleeding/spotting isn't enough to continue to rub in my face, even 3w2d after my mc, that we lost the baby.  Now I have to go back for more blood work because of a fricking SEVEN.

....I'm not having a good day....

Re: F'ing Betas!!

  • Oh no! I'm so sorry. Being a human pincushion is NOT fun. Fingers crossed for a much better result next week!

If you don't mind me asking a question about the betas, if your HCG level is 7, does not mean that you can't/won't ovulate or have a period? I'm kinda confused about how the whole beta level greater than zero thing works.

I have NO idea.  This whole process of loosing our baby has taught me that I don't know jack sh!t about my body and they way it is supposed to function.  I don't have a follow appt with my doc at all (I know, totally frustrating!), so that's a question I won't get an answer to.  I'd love to know the answer as well though.

I thought that once levels hit zero, that was when the body started functioning "normally" again.  Thought that after zero, I should expect AF in 26 days and life would continue as it was.  I don't think that's the case though.  I have no idea how it all works.
