LO interest in food?

in Babies: 0 - 3 Months

DD is getting really interested in food. Whenever we eat she will stop whatever she is doing and just watch us. She now will smack her hand to her mouth and pretend to chew. My Dr. said that because of this DD should start rice cereal at 4 months. However I don't really feel comfortable with that. 

Any one else dealing with this?

    My DS also watches me eat - he is 9 weeks. I haven't talked to the ped but don't plan on cereal till after 6 months,
