if I am at home I run it under warm water before I pour it into the drop-in (in the freezer bag or bottle I pumped into)
When I go out I take a thermos (like the kind for soup, it is shorter and wider than a tall coffee thermos) I fill it with almost boiling water before we leave the house, then I can put the bottle into the warm water when I am out to get it warmed up
I use formula and i just use warm water from the tap. If it's in the fridge, I put it in another bottle and warm it in the microwave to room temp and after I pour it in to the drop-in bottle, I shake it really well to get rid of hot spots.
