I Have 2 Bird Dogs.

I also have a very low nest in my yard with baby birds in it.

So I'm a liiiittle bit nervous.  I like the dogs being able to play outside without me constantly watching.  They're constantly sniffing around it. If I take that whole birdhouse out of the ground and move it, their mama won't be able to find them, right?  What to do, what to do?

Oh no!  I am not sure what to do as far as moving the nest.  I know it's a pain but perhaps just keep on eye on your dogs while there are out.

Oh man, my GSPs would be on that like white on rice. Those baby birdies would be no more by now. I have no advice aside from keep the pups away till the birds are big enough to fly off.

Moving the nest would be bad.  Could you barricade area so the dogs can't reach the nest?  Maybe temporary fencing or something.  Pepper is fine with nests, it's Toby I always worry about, but I can't figure out how to protect them from a cat.

Oh gosh - I wouldn't know what to do either.  I like the barricade idea if you can think of something.  Hope you can figure something out!

Thanks!  I'll try the barricade idea.  I took the pictures a few days ago so they're much bigger now.  Hopefully they'll fly away soon!
