mucus in spit up

sometimes my son has a mucus texture to his spit up. he's 4 weeks. its clear and has some white in it. he tends to be congested in the am. it doesnt happen all the time-once a day, if that. i am breastfeeding. he cries a bit when it comes up. 

anyone else experience this?

    Yes.  Sophia seems to have some congestion, more so in her throat. Asked the doc and they said she is not sick and it is related to her reflux.

    Last night she started coughing and sneezing, and then spitting up with lots of mucus in it.  Then it started coming out of her nose.  I was not a happy momma since it scared me to death.

    My LO did this too.  It seems to have settled down in the last couple weeks, but there used to be mucus in her spit up.
