A couple of months after my loss some friends of mine (who had lost twins in Sept. 08) sent me a nice devotion book called Grieving the Child I Never Knew. Not very many people knew about the loss, and I had not seen these friends in person (we live several hours away) in months. It happened to arrive on a bleak January day, only a few hours after I had a huge breakdown. It was one of the most touching thigns anyone has ever done for me.
Last week, via some coincidental facebook emails, I found out a girl I went to college with had a m/c a few weeks after mine. She offered up that information after I told her about mine. We were not close friends in college, but we went to a small school, and lived a few doors down from one another in the dorms our freshman year.
I'd like to pay forward the kindness that my friends showed me to this girl. We are/were no where near as close as the friends who sent me this book, but she is an awesome person who I think is really discouraged right now. If you were me, would you send her something? She works for a church and is very religous, and I was thinking of sending her a copy of the same devotion book I was sent.
Re: pay it forward?
