How does FF determine the coverline?

My first two cycles of charting my coverline was 97.7, this time it's at 97.4. That seems really low to me. And even though I had a slight temp drop compared to yesterday ff still shows I ovulated on CD 8 since it's still above that coverline. I'm still hoping that'll change in the next few days though.

    From FF:

How does Fertility Friend determine the coverline?

The coverline (the line drawn horizontally across your chart once ovulation is detected) is a visual tool to help you easily see your pre- and post-ovulation temperatures. It has no physiological significance whatsoever so where it is placed does not have much importance as long as it helps you to see your ovulation pattern.

honestly, I thought it did it the same way that TCOYF does it..look at those previous 6 temps before the temp surge indicating O and your coverline is .1 temp higher than your highest of those 6.  so maybe your previous months, one of those temps was a little higher..it only takes one to move that coverline up.  LIke I said, this is how I was taught and I would assume that FF would be the same
  • I still feel like FF will move your O date with a couple more temps. :-)
