We got this one when DD1 became mobile, so it's been in use for over a year.  I really like it, because I don't have to look at it all the time.  I just put it across the stairs when we're up there (i.e. so if I have to run downstairs @ 3am for something, I don't need to deal with it). It's pricy, but our stairs have 2 bannisters that I didn't want to drill into, so I got the installation kit, too.

Ooooh! I like that a lot - especially since I'm up & down the stairs quite a bit during the day.
