Temps were weird this morning

So I woke up at 4am this morning to pee and took my temp and I swore it was 97.0.  I went back to bed and temped again at 6:30 and it was 98.1 (I did it twice to make sure).  Isn't that a huge difference!  I put 98.1 on my chart because I have high hopes but I am wondering which one is correct.  I usually temp at 5am.  Could the first one be so low becuase the BBT was sitting next to the airconditioner so it was chilly to start with? (I think that is a dumb question but Ill ask it anyway.  any advise?

Sitting next to the A/C wouldn't change the temp of your thermometer unless it's a traditional glass one and needs to be shaken down. As for the difference, I'm pretty sure this is why you're supposed to temp at the same time every day, also, you're supposed to have a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep so if you were up at 4 and got out of bed you didn't have enough sleep by 6:30 and your body was warmer because you were moving around when you went to pee. I would say try not obsess over it and see what your temp does tomorrow.

Thanks... I am gonna keep it as it is but I am spotting so I have a feeling it was really 97.0.  Oh well maybe next month.
