My midwife told me that a little alcohol is okay - and that pumping and dumping is not necessary. So, I have a drink and don't worry too much about the very small amount that gets into my milk.
The LC that taught my BF class said that a couple drinks is fine, as long as you don't feel 'drunk' and are able to drive then your milk is okay.... there is no need to pump and dump. I've had a couple of drinks on a few occasions without thinking twice about it. The only time I dumped was when we went out for mexican a few weeks ago and I had two really strong margaritas.
I never pumped and dumped...I just waited a few hours to pump or nurse. I usually drank a glass of wine while/right after BFing.
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

In our BF class, at the hospital, taught by a nurse...she said if you aren't feeling buzzed, its fine to feed your baby. So, I think 1 drink wouldn't harm anything.
