for sex? it's been 6 wks post op, i'm ready but dh is worried since i had a problem with my incision opening. it appears to have healed in the past wk. how long did it take before you were comfortable?

I couldn't make it past 3 weeks and I'm fine and still enjoying it regularly!

I got cleared by my OB at my 4 week pp visit, and we had successful sexy time that week. I didn't have any trouble with healing though, so maybe wait until your OB says it's ok?

4 weeks but that was when my pp visit was so I had been cleared by the dr.

Just before my 4 week pp appointment, but I never had any problems with my incision.  My steri-strips were off at that point and it looked like I was healed.

I was cleared at 3w for 7 days after I stopped bleeding. So it was around 5w pp before we were able to try.

6 weeks.  Since you had a problem with your incision, I'd call your doctor to ask.  The problem may change things.

My doc told me 4-6 pp depending upon my comfort.  We waited until 7 weeks pp and it was fine!  Although I had some issues with the left side of my incision closing, but at almost 12 weeks pp it is fine now!

I waited until after the 6week appt.  We figured it was worth waiting to make sure I wasn't going to die from some terrible infection.  hehe!

we had sex for the first time 8 weeks PP - we did plenty of other things from 6 weeks PP - but I was so worried about full blown sex!

My incision open with DD#1. I think we waited a little longer because it didn't completely heal. It took until about nine weeks for it to heal. The first time we did the deed missionary position was out because it pulled the skin. This time I dealed great and was ready at 7 weeks.
