I completely worry about the same thing, but with her infant seat. She spends a good chunk of the day in there. She even takes her morning nap in it. I tried putting her in a carrier, but she just doesn't enjoy it as much. She gets about 1-4 hours of tummy time per day, but...what else are we supposed to do when they can't sit up?
Not too much. He loved it, in small time increments. So over all, maybe 40 minutes a day. It will be a lot less now that I'm going back to work tomorrow

Up until 2 weeks ago the swing was the ONLY place DD would nap. I had a few days of fighting her to nap elsewhere, lots of overtiredness and lots of tears, then I gave up and let her sleep in the swing again for a couple days. After we had both regained our energy, I tried putting her in her crib and Ta-Da, she slept without a problem. I've succesfully gotten her to sleep in her crib for every nap the past 6 days so today I gave the swing its walking papers up to the attic...I'm so sick of looking at it!
Mariela hates the swing we have for her, but I tried my SIL's hand me down swing while I was at her house yesterday and DD stayed in it for a good 15 minutes. We'll be picking it up this week to borrow it!!
I wonder the same thing sometimes - but sometimes it is the place she is happiest - she'll be crying in my arms, but completely content and chilled out in the swing. She spends about 2 hours in it in the morning (about 1 hour of it she is sleeping) and about 1 1/2 in the afternoon (about half of which is sleeping). She is sleeping through the night in her crib.
My LO loves his swing, sometimes it is the only thing that will keep him from crying. Sometimes I feel like he is spending too much time in there.
If your LO likes to be in their swing, how often would you say they are in it each day?
I feel like this but it is with LO's boppy...he loves it, and he sits on the couch a good portion of the day sometimes on tummy, sometimes on back. I kind of don't know where else to put him....he also is in his swing about an 1 1 /2 total (seperated into 3 different times, morning, afternoon, early evening)
Re: How much time does LO spend in the swing?
I try to stick to 30 minute (or less) increments unless he happens to fall asleep in it (he doesn't usually).
At most, one 1-2 hour nap a day.

Never. We don't own one and she hated her bouncy seat, so we never used that either. I either hold her or she's on the floor playing.
