It isn't letting me vote... but I would say no. I think that it is becoming more popular, but not yet trendy.

how can a name that has been around since Dickens be considered trendy???   just curious.    more classic than trendy--trendy in my book only lasts a few years--not decades such as oliver has

    Popular, yes.

    Trendy, no. I consider names like Jayden/Brayden/Caden/Aiden , Michaela/McKenzie/McKenna/Mck... , Jaxon/Braxton/Maxton trendy names.

This.  No one will be able to say "Oliver must have been born around 2010" like they will for Jayden and Brayden but it is becoming more popular.

I think it is gaining in popularity but I wouldn't put it in the trendy category.  At least not in the US.  Maybe if you were in Australia - it is WAY more popular over there.

    No. Popular, maybe.

Trendy to me are names that come and go but Oliver is a more classic name to me. When I think of trendy, I think of the names with "y" in them (the Kaylee, Jayden, etc)

Oliver is a classic name that's coming back into style. Name like Jayden are trendy, IMHO.

I don't know anyone named Oliver but I've seen at least 20 people online who plan to use it. I know that isn't a huge number but if you consider it a sampling... One of my baby mags has Olivia in the Top 10 for girls so I'm assuming that's launching Oliver up as well.
