I'm so excited, my mom and grandma are coming up from SoCal to celebrate mother's day. I am thinking of fixing a yummy brunch for them on Sunday. Here is what I have so far:
i recently did a really easy & pretty dish - layer strawberries, vanilla yogurt then granola & more berries. yummy, easy and healthy too!
Love this idea! I actually went somewhere where they served something similar in individual tulip sundae glasses. But it would look so pretty in any kind of glass bowl or trifle dish. I like Meritage's idea of a coffee cake of some sort too.
Other than that, I think you're good. Sometimes I make a simple greens salad (greens, shaved parm, olive oil, lemon juice OR greens/apple/blue cheese/nut/vinaigrette) but that's when it's more of a lunch-y brunch.

Mimosas/bellinis if you drink.

How about a meat or fish dish?
I have Eggs Benedict, Oven Roasted Red Potatoes, Mini Croissants, Baked Salmon with Dill Butter, frsh fruit and a green veggie on my tentative menu.
